Armand Serrano is a Senior Visual Development artist at Sony Pictures Animation in Culver City, California. He has been very active in the animation industry for the past 21 years. Having worked as a layout journeyman for Walt Disney Animation Studios, part of his notable contributions was the workbook for successful films like Mulan, Lilo & Stitch, and Brother Bear. Through the workbook process, he designed not only the shots in key sequences through the film but mainly the prologues of all three films. Armand moved to Sony Pictures Animation and worked on the principal locations design on Surf’s Up. His film credits for Sony also include Open Season 2, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, Arthur Christmas (2011) and Hotel Transylvania (2012). Armand is currently doing conceptual art direction and production design for a scifi animated feature film for the studio.
