New applicants to our BFA and Atelier Certificate Programs are welcome to enter this competition to receive one of three $6,000 Contemporary Representational Art Scholarships for Fall 2012. Contemporary Representational Art includes figures, still life, and landscapes.
Eligibility: Students who have been accepted into our BFA and Atelier Certificate Programs are invited to apply for the scholarships.
Submission Requirements: Submit five images, and a 500-word essay to scholarships@laafa.org or in person to the Administration Office. Incomplete submissions will not be considered. Please note: You must be accepted into the program prior to applying for a scholarship.
Jurors: Selected LAAFA faculty.
Awards: Three $6,000 scholarships for use towards LAAFA’s BFA and Atelier Certificate Program tuition. (Scholarships will be applied as credit in $500 USD increments per quarter.)
Fall 2012 Deadline: July 15, 2012. Submissions will not be accepted after this deadline.
Fall 2012 Recipients: Scholarship recipients will be announced on August 7, 2012.
Terms and Conditions: Scholarship awards are contingent upon acceptance to LAAFA’s BFA and Atelier Certificate Programs. Upon accepting the scholarship, the recipient must begin his or her studies by the Fall 2012 quarter that starts on October 1, 2012. The recipients must maintain a 3.8 GPA or higher during their studies at LAAFA. A GPA of less than 3.8 during any given quarter may result in the loss of scholarship credit. By submitting this form, you are agreeing to allow LAAFA to use your submitted images for any promotional purposes as LAAFA sees fit. Additional restrictions and requirements may apply.
