LAAFA’s Fine Art programs are renowned for combining a solid, substantial foundation of technical adeptness and control with the critical thinking and communication skills essential for success in today’s complex art world. Our graduates possess strong technical abilities and are driven to develop their own visual language and a personal aesthetic that resonates deeply with one’s self.
The Fine Art Programs reflect a deep respect for time-honored teachings that have produced great art throughout history. In addition, the programs also embrace contemporary, critique-based methodology equipping students for the art world of the 21st century.
Students will leave after three years of study with the knowledge necessary to alter the landscape of artistic expression in today’s art world and the confidence to pursue a lasting career as a successful, thought provoking, professional artist.

Certificate in Fine Art (157 credits)
This program is designed for students who do not wish to pursue a BFA degree. The three-year Atelier Certificate Program includes the same balanced curriculum without the general education requirements. The required credits are comprised of the following:
