Starting with a 2-D diagrammatical approach with an emphasis on the silhouette and abstract rhythms to lay the foundation for further refinement. From this stage we will explore the 3-D form using our lay in as a guide. Light and shade will be explored and it's rhythmical relationship to form and the flat pattern. An emphasis will be placed on not only how we draw the figure, but how to see the figure and it's tonal and abstract relationships. The length of poses will vary from 2 to 10 minutes in length.
