Entertainment Art Programs

Although most animations, video games, and movie effects today end up as a digital culmination, the traditional skills of drawing, painting, and composition are more critical than ever.  Artists that have a love for storytelling, character design and visual development with the desire to work in the entertainment arena must be advanced in traditional skills or the digital software is of no value.  Artists with these “skill sets” easily adapt to any new software introduced, and are consistently chosen to design animations, movies and games.  Our Entertainment Program focuses on these essential traditional skills and is aware of how quality digital production depends on them.

While most programs offered by other institutions have cut back on essential foundational classes, LAAFA has remained committed to its offering of traditional oriented classes as part of its curriculum.  This is one of the major differences between our Entertainment Program and others.
